This PCT protocol is preferred for the pre-treatment of the minute biological specimens of various kinds, even tooth, bone and plant tissues. Not only can this system maximize the extraction efficiency of proteins, but its rapid changes in pressure also accelerates proteolytic digestion, making it the preferred system for the preparation of peptides ready for mass spectrometry and the subsequent proteomic analysis.
